AIO Tests allows you to generate the Test Execution History Report with the click of a button. In this report, you can not only view all the runs of every test case in a particular cycle but also see the execution status of each case in the cycle, along with the number of defects logged and their details.

In this documentation, you will understand:

Step 2: Once you click on the chevron icon, the Execution History Report input modal will be displayed on the screen. Click on the Cycle field and select a cycle from the drop-down list for which you want to generate the report.

Users can also use the filter option to narrow down the Cycles list. They can filter the Cycles list by Component, Release, Cycle Tags, Folders, etc.

Step 3: Click on the Generate button.

Users can also save reports to reuse them later by clicking on the Save button.

Once you click on the Generate button, the report output will be displayed on the screen. It will show all the runs of each case as a column. The cases are listed in different rows along with their Title and Priority. The number next to the Status icon indicates the # of defects associated with that run (the number includes defects associated at the step level as well).

In the image below, ADP-TC-1 had 5 runs in the cycle. Run #5 is the latest with an execution status of “Passed” and there is no defect associated with this run.

Few Key Points

  • The status icons (failed, in progress, etc.) in the generated reports are clickable. It will take the user to the specific run in the cycle and open the corresponding right panel.

  • The hover-over of the status icon will give details of the status- when it was updated and by whom. If the status is “Not Run”, hover over will show when the run was created.

  • The defect numbers are clickable. It will show the details of the defects in a pop-up as shown below (click of defect icon in Run#5 of ADP-TC-2).
