Understanding Reports

AIO Tests allows you to generate reports with the click of a button. On the test management tool, users can also edit input criteria for the reports, export reports to Excel and PDF, save and share reports, and refresh the reports to see dynamic data without entering the input criteria again.

  • Currently, reports are organized into 5 categories - Traceability, Automation, Single Cycle Execution, Multi Cycle Execution and Project reports.

  • There are gadgets available for advance reporting for a few reports and more are being added.

In this documentation, you will understand:

Categorization of Reports

  1. Traceability: Track requirements coverage

  • Traceability Summary- This report shows a high-level summary of requirements coverage along with case priority, execution and defect distribution.

  • Traceability Detail- This report shows end-to-end coverage of requirements. It maps requirements to cases, executions and defects.

  1. Case: Analyze case data

  • Case Distribution- This report examines the case data by evaluating different aspects of test case coverage, priority, release, creation date, case status, etc. 

  1. Automation: Analyze automation coverage and burndown

  • Automation Coverage- This report shows automation coverage of cases by different parameters- Automation Owner, Case Priority, Sets, Cycles, etc.

  • Automation Burndown- This report shows how many cases are getting automated over a period of time (monthly, quarterly, etc.) along with saved manual effort.

  1. Single Cycle Execution: Analyze current testing execution status 

  • Execution Summary- This report tracks the current status of a Cycle.

  • Execution History- This report shows the history of all runs of all cases in the cycle along with details of defects reported in each run.

  • Execution Burndown- This report shows the burndown rate for a Cycle.

  1. Multi-Cycle Execution: Analyze progress for multiple related cycles

  • Multi-Cycle Execution Summary- This report shows the current status and progress of multiple cycles together.

  • Multi-Cycle Execution Detail- This report shows the execution of multiple Cycle.

  • Multi-Cycle Execution Distribution- This report shows cycle execution progress by different parameters- user assignment, case priority, case type, Jira requirements and case tags.

  • Multi-Cycle Execution Comparison- This report shows the comparison results across multiple cycles.

  1. Run: Analyze cycle data

  • Run Distribution- This report analyzes the Cycles data based on multiple criteria, including any custom fields defined at the run-level. 

  1. Defect: Analyze the impact of Defects on Cases and Requirements

  • Defect Impact- This report shows the impact of selected defects on cases and requirements.

  • Defect Trend- This report shows all the defects in a cycle with their status.

  1. Project: Tracks the progress of your project

  • Project Metrics- This report tracks key metrics and activity summary of the project.

  • Project Activity- This report tracks project activity over a time period, and users can select an activity to review.

  1. User: Tracks user activity

  • User Activity- This report tracks user activity over a time period. Users can specify name of testers and also choose the activity to be reviewed.

Steps to Generate a Report

Step 1: To generate a report, simply click on the Reports option in the top bar menu.

Step 2: Click on the chevron icon for the report that you want to generate. 

Step 3: Once you click on the chevron icon, a modal window will be displayed on the screen. Enter the required details in the respective fields.

Step 4: Finally, click on the Generate button.

Once you click on the Generate button, the report will be displayed on the screen.

Steps to Edit Reports

Step 1: To edit reports, all you need to do is click on the Edit button at the top of the generated report page. 

Edit operation is available on all reports except the Project Metrics report. 

Step 2: Once you click on the Edit button, a modal window will appear on the screen. Do the appropriate changes that you want to make in the report. 

Step 3: Finally, click on the Generate button. 

Exporting Reports

On the generated report page, users can export the reports by clicking on the Export button. Once the user clicks on the Export button, they will get the two options in which they want to export the report- Excel and PDF. Select the desired format from the drop-down list in which you want reports to be exported.

Refreshing Reports

On the generated report page, users can refresh the reports by simply clicking on the Refresh button. It will help them to view dynamic data without entering the input criteria again. Once they click on the Refresh button, the report will be refreshed. 

Sharing Reports

On the generated report page, users can share the reports publicly for all team members and with specific users by clicking on the Share button. All reports are shareable. For more details on sharing reports, click here

Saving Reports

On the generated report page, users can save the reports by clicking on the Save button. Users can save all reports except the Project Metrics report. For more details on saving reports, click here
