Manage Cases- Assignments

AIO Tests allows users to assign a single user for execution to multiple cases with the click of a button. Whether you want to enable step assignment for multiple cases or want to disable step assignment for bulk cases, the test management lets you do it with ease.

In this documentation, you’ll understand:

Steps to Assign a User to Multiple Cases

Step 1: To assign a user to multiple cases, simply click on the Cycles option in the top bar menu.

Step 2: On the Cycles page, click on the desired Cycle key for which you assign the users for case execution. 

Step 3: Click on the vertical ellipsis button (⋮) located at the top right corner of the cycle execution detail page and hit the Bulk assign user button. Tick the cases to which you assign an assignee. 

Step 4: Click on the Bulk button and select the Assign Users option from the drop-down menu. Once you click on the Assign Users option, the Assign user modal window will appear on the screen. Click on the assign user field and select a user that you want to assign to your selected test case(s) from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Finally, click on the Assign button.

Steps to Enable Step Assignments for Multiple Cases

Step 1: To enable the step assignments for multiple cases, click on the vertical ellipsis button (⋮) located at the top right corner of the cycle execution detail page and hit the Step assignments button. 

Users only get the Step assignments option under the Manage Cases (vertical ellipsis button) only when they toggle off the Run Step Assignee option in the Field configuration. To learn more about field configuration for Runs, click here

Step 2: Tick the cases for which you want to enable the step assignments. Click on the Bulk button and select the Enable step assignments option from the drop-down menu.

Users can disable the step assignments by simply clicking on the Disable step assignments

Step 3: Once you click on the Enable step assignments option, a message appears on the screen saying, “Step assignments successfully enabled!”
