The Defect Summary gadget allows you to view the defect status distribution, defect priority distribution, and a defect details table for the specified cycles of a project.

Steps to Add Defect Summary Gadget
Step 1: To add the defect summary gadget, simply click on the Edit button on your selected dashboard.

Step 2: On the right-side panel, enter Defect Summary into the Add a Gadget field.

Step 3: Click on the Add button respective to the AIO Tests- Defect Summary.

Step 4: Once you click on the Add button, the Defect Summary gadget will be added to your dashboard. Enter the required details into their respective fields.
Project: Enter the project name into the Project field.
Cycle: Click on the Cycle field and select the cycle(s) from the drop-down list.

Users can only specify one project in the defect summary gadget. However, if you want to view the defect summary report across projects, the defect summary gadget can be added multiple times. Users can select one or multiple cycles of the selected project in the Defect summary gadget input window. Users have the option to customize the look of the defect summary output by ticking/unticking the checkboxes for Display options- Show only latest run defects, Show selected Cycle list, Jira fields to generate Defect Pie charts, and Show Defect list. Show only latest run defects: Users can choose if they only want to see defects belonging to the latest run of the case or defects found in all runs of the case. Show selected Cycle list: Users can choose whether or not the cycle keys and titles are displayed as part of the output. Jira fields to generate Defect Pie charts: Users can choose the Primary and Secondary fields using which the pie charts should be generated for defects. By default, the primary field is set to Status and the Secondary field is set to Priority. Show Defect list: Users can choose if they wish to see the table with details for defects. The columns to be displayed in this table can be configured using the highlighted icon in the below screenshot.
If none of the options are selected, the gadget will show the pie charts with the specified fields. Users also have the option to select the refresh interval, which determines the frequency at which the dashboard should undergo updates, by clicking on the Refresh interval field. By default, the refresh interval is set to None.

Step 5: Finally, click on the Save button.

Once you click on the Save button, the defect summary output will be displayed on the screen. For more details on the information shown in the output, please refer to the defect summary section of the Multi-Cycle Execution Summary report.
