Setup Field Configurations
Step 1: To setup field configurations, simply click on the Gear icon and select the Project Settings option from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Click on the desired group for which you want to configure the fieldfields - Cases, Sets, Cycles, and or Runs.

Step 3: Click on the Toggle on/off button for the desired fields that you want to Enable/Disable under Enabled Field and Mandatory/non-mandatory under Required Field.

Required: If checked, users will need to add data to the field while creating, editing, bulk editing, etc. the respective entity.
If the case/cycle is being created from the Jira panel and mandatory fields have been defined, users will be prompted to add additional details in a pop-up screen.
While the quick executing a case from the Jira panel, if users choose to add the case to a new cycle and mandatory fields have been defined, users will be asked to create a cycle first and then execute the case in the newly created cycle

Once you toggle on/off the desired field, the changes will show up on the respective screens for which the fields were configured.

Field Configuration for Runs
There are 3 fields available in Runs- Actual Effort, Defect, and Run Step Assignee. By default, all Actual Effort and Defect fields are enabled. If users make actual effort and defect field mandatory by toggling on the Required option, they need to define the test run status type (In Progress, Passed, Failed, and Blocked) used for triggering validations for required fields.

If the user toggles on the Run Step Assignee field, they can assign the step of a case to a specific tester. This option enables the users to assign bulk steps or specific steps to different testers.
