AIO Tests allows you to configure the fields in Caes, Sets, Cycles and Run with ease. Whether you want to hide specific fields from the Cases, Sets, Cycles and Run screen or want to make specific fields mandatory for the users to fill in the Cases, Sets, Cycles and Run screen, the test management tool lets you do it effortlessly.

In this documentation, you’ll understand:

Steps to Setup Field Configurations

Step 1: To setup field configurations, simply click on the Gear icon and select the Project Settings option from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Click on the desired group for which you want to configure the field- Cases, Sets, Cycles, and Runs.

By default, the Field Configurations page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Click on the Toggle on/off button for the desired fields that you want to Enable/Disable under Enabled Field and Mandatory/non-mandatory under Required Field

Users will get two options for each of the fields:

  • Enabled: If checked, the field is visible across the app. However, if unchecked, the field will not be visible in respective create and edit screens, in filters and column selectors and in respective right-hand panels (RHSPs).

  • Required: If checked, users will need to add data to the field while creating, editing, bulk editing, etc. the respective entity.

    • If the case/cycle is being created from the Jira panel and mandatory fields have been defined, users will be prompted to add additional details in a pop-up screen.

    • While the quick executing a case from the Jira panel, if users choose to add the case to a new cycle and mandatory fields have been defined, users will be asked to create a cycle first and then execute the case in the newly created cycle

  • By default, all fields are enabled and none of the fields are mandatory.

  • Users will be allowed to create cases, sets and cycles even if they marked fields as mandatory in the below three scenarios:

    • Importing cases using Excel, CSV, Feature files

    • Copying cases from one project to another

    • Creating cases via import of automation results (from the app as well as from REST APIs)

Once you toggle on both the options for a field, it will be visible across the screen and it will be mandatory for the users to fill data in that field.
