Copying Sets

AIO Tests allows you to copy an existing set with the click of a button. On the test management tool, you can not only copy the details of an existing set, but can also customize the existing set as per your specific requirements and preferences.

Steps to Copy a Set

Step 1: To copy a set, all you need to do is click on the Sets option in the top bar menu.

Step 2: On the Sets page, right-click on the set that you want to copy and hit the Copy option from the drop-down menu. 

Users can also copy the set from the Set detail page.

Step 3: Once you click on the Copy button, the Create Set modal window will appear on the screen with all the details of the source set.

Users have these two options to choose from:

  • Create Set: Clicking on the Create Set button will create the set and the user will be returned to the page from where the Copy was clicked (sets grid or set details page).

  • Add Cases: Clicking on the Add Cases button will show all the cases that you can add to that particular set. Select cases that you want to add to that particular set from a list of published cases of the current as well as any other project you have access to. Once you select the cases, click on the Save button. 

  • Users can search for Cases using the Case title or key via the search box. Users can also use filters like Key, Owner, Priority, Status, etc. to get a specific list quickly. By using the Add or Remove Filters button, users can add more filter options. 

  • Users can change the project using the project selector drop-down to add cases of other projects.

  • By default, the list only shows cases in Published status. The cases in Draft, Under Review and Deprecated statuses cannot be added to a Set. If the user looking for a specific case, then by turning on “Show Non-eligible cases also”, they can view all cases.

  • Cases in the source set are automatically added to the copied set.

  • Users can also select the version of the case that they want to add to a Set by clicking on the version drop-down and ticking the check box for it.

Once you copy the set, it will be automatically added to the list of sets from where the Copy action was clicked.
