Edit Case Details

AIO Tests allows you to edit the details of multiple cases with the click of a button. Whether you want to add the details in case attributes such as Jira requirements, owner, priority, status, component, release, etc or want to modify the case details, the test management tool lets you do it effortlessly.

Steps to Edit Case Details

Step 1: To edit case details, simply click on the Cases option in the top bar menu.

Step 2: Click on the folder from where you want to edit the case details and hit the Pencil icon.

Step 3: Tick the cases for which you want to edit the details.

Step 4: Click on the Bulk button and select the Edit option from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: Once you click on the Edit option, the Edit Multiple Cases modal window will appear on the screen. Click the checkbox next to the fields you want to update. Enter/select the new value that the field should have. 

  • Selecting a field and leaving it blank will remove any existing values for all selected cases.

  • The rules that apply to single case updates also apply to bulk edit of cases

    • The owner of draft cases cannot be a user other than the logged-in user.

    • Cases in Published status cannot go to Draft status.

Step 6: Finally, click on the Confirm button.

Bulk Editing Tags

While bulk editing Tags, users can start typing the text and press enter once done to add new tags. The following 3 actions are available:

  • Add to existing tags: The newly added tags will be added to the list of existing tags on the selected cases.

  • Replace existing tags: The newly added tags will replace the tags that exist in the selected cases.

  • Delete from selected cases: The specified tags will be deleted from the list of tags on the selected cases. If after deletion, the tags don’t belong to any entity, they will not be available in the system anymore.

Bulk Editing Jira Requirements

While bulk editing Jira Requirements (click the search box to see a list of recent Jira requirements), users get the option to:

  • Add to existing requirements: The specified requirements will be added to the already linked requirements

  • Replace existing requirements: The specified requirements will replace the currently linked requirements
