Email Preferences
AIO Tests allows users to set email notifications as per their requirements. By setting email preferences, you can choose the specific events for which you want to get notifications.
In this documentation, you’ll understand:
Steps to Toggle On/Off Email Preferences
Step 1: To toggle on/off email preferences, all you need to do is click on the Gear icon and select the My Settings option from the drop-down menu.
Once you click on the My Settings option, the Email Preferences screen will be displayed where the user can toggle on/off their preferences for e-mail notifications they want AIO Tests to send them.
Events that Trigger Email Notifications
By default, all the email settings are turned “ON” for everyone and the user can turn it “OFF” if needed.
When a user is tagged in a comment
AIO Tests allows users to set events to send email notifications whenever they are tagged in a comment. Users can also choose whether they want to receive multiple notifications for the same comment if it is edited.
Users can be notified for the same comment even if it is turned off, by removing them from the comment, saving the comment and then re-mentioning the user. Every new mention of a new is considered as the first mention.
When a user is assigned a case in a cycle
On AIO Tests, users can set events to send email notifications whenever they are assigned a case. All the new assignees will be updated by email, except for the cases where the user is assigning themselves. For single assignments, one email will be sent for each assignment update, while for bulk assignments, all the links to the updated entities will be mentioned in one email.
When a user is assigned as an Automation Owner for a case
AIO Tests lets you set events to send email notifications whenever they are assigned as automation owners for a case. All the new assignees will be updated by email, except for the cases where the user is assigning themselves. For single assignments, one email will be sent for each assignment update, while for Bulk assignments, all the links to the entity(s) updated will be mentioned in one email.
Having Trouble Receiving Emails?
Users can only receive AIO Tests email notifications if they have their email visibility set to Public (Anyone) in their Jira Account settings (as highlighted below).
Steps to Check Email Visibility
Step 1: To check email visibility, simply click on the user icon at the top right corner of the Jira panel and select the Profile from the dropdown list.
Step 2: Click on the Manage Your Account option.
Step 3: Once you click on Manage your account, the Profile and Visibility page will appear on the screen. Scroll down the page to check visibility.
