Edit Case Details

Case attributes like Jira requirements, owner, priority, status, component, release, etc. can be updated in bulk via the ‘Bulk Edit’ option. Enable the bulk mode, select cases that need to be updated and select ‘Edit’ from the Bulk drop-down. The screen shown below is displayed.

  • Click the checkbox next to the fields you want to update

  • Enter/select the new value that the field should have

  • Click confirm to make the changes

Selecting a field and leaving it blank will remove any existing values for all selected cases

Please note that the rules that apply to single case update also apply to bulk edit of cases

  • The owner of draft cases cannot be a user other than the logged in user

  • Cases in Published status cannot go to Draft status

While bulk editing Tags, users can start typing the text and press enter once done to add new tags. The following 3 actions are available

  • Delete from selected cases: the specified tags will be deleted from the list of tags on the selected cases. If after deletion, the tags don’t belong to any entity, they will not be available in the system anymore

While bulk editing Jira Requirements (click the search box to see a list of recent Jira requirements), users get the option to

  • Add to existing requirements: the specified requirements will be added to the already linked requirements

  • Replace existing requirements: the specified requirements will replace the currently linked requirements
