Attach Files to Steps

AIO Tests allows users to add Attachments at the case level as well as the steps level. This document shows how to attach files to steps and how to view them at different places in the application.

Add files at Step Level

While creating a case, on the Steps page, users can attach files by clicking the ellipsis and then the 'Attach File' option as shown below.

Clicking the ‘Attach File’ icon will open the Attachments modal. Users can paste a copied image and name it or upload a file from their system. Once the document is selected, click on ‘Save’ to attach the file to the step.

Once uploaded, it will be shown as below.

The functionality to add files at step level is also available from Edit Steps (Steps tab) in the Case Details page and Edit Steps from the Cases listing page.

Viewing Files added to Steps

Files added to Steps can be viewed from multiple places in the app.

When users hover over the Attachment icon on any step, the attached files show up as below and users can click on any file name to see it in the document carousel.

When users click on Edit Steps icon from the cases grid, already attached files can be viewed in the document carousel.

View Steps from Right Panel of a Case in Sets & Cycles

When users are on Set Detail page, they can open the right panel for a case and click on Steps icon and documents will be visible as shown below. The same view is present when user is on Cycle Details page, opens the right panel of a case and clicks the Steps icon. Hovering over the icon will show the attached files and clicking will open it in the carousel.

The attachments icon is also available on the Cycle Detail page for each run of the case as shown below. Clicking the icon will show the attached files and clicking name of the file will open it in the carousel.
