Traceability Summary

The Traceability Summary gadget allows you to view the coverage of specified requirements along with the execution done percentage for each requirement. This gadget also shows the execution status of cases in the specified cycles.

Steps to Add Traceability Summary Gadget

Step 1: To add the traceability summary gadget, simply click on the Edit button on your selected dashboard.

Users can add the traceability summary gadget at the time of dashboard creation and also while editing a dashboard. The image below is of the Edit mode.

Step 2: On the right-side panel, enter Traceability Summary into the Add a Gadget field. 

Step 3: Click on the Add button for the AIO Tests - Traceability Summary.

Step 4: Once you click on the Add button, the Traceability Summary gadget will be added to your dashboard. Enter the required details into their respective fields to view coverage and execution details. 

  • Project(s): Enter the project name into the Project field. 

Users have the option to select more than one project.

  • Requirements: Click on the Requirements field and select the requirement(s) from the drop-down list.

  • Cycle: Click on the Cycle field and select the cycle(s) from the drop-down list.

  • Users can only specify one project in the traceability summary gadget. However, if you want to view the traceability summary report across projects, the traceability summary gadget can be added multiple times.

  • Users can select one or multiple cycles of the selected project in the traceability summary gadget input window. Users can also make the gadget Dynamic by choosing ‘Filter’ for Cycle field instead of List.

  • Users can select one or multiple requirements of the selected project in the traceability summary gadget input window.

  • Users also have the option to select the refresh interval, which determines the frequency at which the dashboard should undergo updates, by clicking on the Refresh interval field. By default, the refresh interval is set to None. 

 

 

Step 5: Finally, click on the Save button.

 

 

Once you click on the Save button, the traceability summary output will be displayed on the screen. It shows:

  • Hierarchy (if specified) of requirements along with its coverage

  • Case counts for each requirement

  • Execution results in the specified cycles (hover over the bar to see additional details)

  • Percentage Done (percentage of cases in passed/failed status in the specified cycles)

  • Number of defects found for each requirement
