Execute Case- Overview

Execute Case- Overview

AIO Tests allows you to execute cases that are added to a cycle with the click of a button. Whether you want to edit the cases added to a cycle or want to change the execution status of the cases in the cycles, the test management tool lets you do it with ease from the cycle execution tab.

In this documentation, you’ll understand:

Cases Grid and Visible Information

On the Cycle execution view, you can view the list of all the cases that are added to the cycle for execution. It also provides a lot of information related to the cases added to the cycle such as Case key, title name, assignee name, defects, case status, comments, attachments, and the number of runs associated with each case.

Cases Grid Actions

AIO Tests allow users to view information and perform different actions on the cases grid, such as edit cases, remove cases, view case details, and many more

Case Details: AIO Tests allows users to view the case details on the cycle execution page. To view case details, all you need to do is click on the Vertical Ellipsis icon and select the Case Details option from the drop-down. Once you click on the Case Details button, a right-side panel window will open up with some quick details of the case. Users have the option to open the case in a new window by clicking on the new tab icon and can view the steps by clicking on the View Steps button on the right-side panel.

If a case was updated after it was added to the cycle, a message will appear on the panel informing users about the availability of a newer version. A version will be created when the title, steps, estimated effort, preconditions or description of the case are updated. To see the updated changes in the cycle, the user will need to ‘Add Run’ (discussed in detail here). If the latest version is not in the cycle, an icon also appears to the left of the case key in the grid.
